Filtering events with the MegaCalendar plugin is possible on both frontend and backend views.
Frontend Event Filtering
To activate filtering events by category on the frontend of your site, add showfilters=”true” to your MegaCalendar shortcode
[ megacal view="cal" showfilters="true" ]
This will add a sidebar menu to your MegaCalendar displaying all event categories, and you can easily click between the category of events you would like to view
Backend Event Filtering
This same functionality is available in the WP admin dashboard too, and is available by default. Go to the Filter Events dropdown menu in the top right corner of the MegaCalendar to filter events by category.
This makes it possible to see all events that are tagged with a specific Event Category (set when creating an event)
